Description

Rare signed copy of Meet The Vogues (CO & CE 1829, Mono, 1965), the debut LP featuring their breakout hit “You’re the One.” The front cover includes a personal inscription: “To Rose Ann / You’re the one / The Vogues,” written across the center. All four original members—Bill, Hugh, Chuck, and Don—have signed the cover near their portraits. Signatures vary in strength (in ink pen), but all remain legible and match their printed names.

The cover shows moderate wear consistent with age, but the seams and spine are strong. Vinyl is untested but visually VG. This is a scarce, full‑band signed example of the group’s first LP, ideal for collectors of 1960s vocal harmony, CO & CE label rarities, and autographed memorabilia.

"You're The One" was a song that lived in the same air as the British Invasion, but it wasn’t trying to be British. It was that distinctly American, harmony‑driven pop that sat right alongside the Beatles, the Hollies, the Searchers, and the Beau Brummels. It had that jangly, melodic, slightly folk‑tinted sound that kids in the 1960's absorbed without even realizing it was shaping their musical memory.

It got a ton of play. AM radio loved it because it threaded the needle between:

  • Beatles‑style melodic sweetness
