Here is a FINE "Meet The Beatles" album offered up for sale:
THIS IS A RIAA # 3 SCRANTON COVER, (PER THE (I AM) (FOR THE SCRANTON,PA PRESS) IN THE DEAD WAX TRAIL OFF). I DON'T BELIEVE THESE WERE PRESSED ON THE WEST COAST UNTIL THE SECOND LABEL VARIATION.
This is an AUTHENTIC original 1964 USA pressing of "Meet The Beatles" with the brown cover lettering. Released on January 20th, 1964 by Capitol Records T-2047 MONO.
This is an early pressing with NO :George Martin producer" credits (later releases have green lettering and George Martin producer credits listed on the rear cover). This heavy vinyl of this LP rates VG+, it is glossy and clean, has a only a few scuffs and scratches, nothing major, and has been fairly well cared for!
The vintage cover also rates VG+, wit deep color, very readable, and still shines, has good edges, although there's 1 rough bottom corner, but no splits, or tape, Has 1 minor flaking spot mid spine. There's no signatures or writing, no real ring wear; it's a great cover, that's been fairly well cared for!
The stamped dead wax reads side one: T-1-2047 -I AM (Scranton symbol). Side two: T-2-2047 G6-I AM symbol.
THESE RECORDS ARE A CHALLENGE TO FIND JUST IN GOOD PLAYABLE CONDITION, AND THIS ONE ALSO HAS THE CORRECT, AND ORIGINAL DARK BLUE CAPITOL VARIETY INNER SLEEVE. SO DON'T MISS THIS TRULY RARE RECORD THAT WILL CONTINUE TO GO UP IN VALUE.
