READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

Meet the Beatles LP 1964 2 BMI VERY Early A-Plates A1/A3, NM/EX!

2 BMI.  So what’s that, the third label variation 1964, I think?  This copy is stunning gorgeous.  Whatever pressing this is, it was pressed with first pressing plates, and it glows like new.

Vinyl--- NM/EX.  Side 1 looks very close to unplayed.  Side 2 has just 2 or 3 extremely light and very small marks that can’t be felt with the fingertip.  Otherwise, this side looks just as blinding as the other.

Plates--- A1/A3.  Collectors know that A1 plates were the very first-day issued plates.  This album sold so fast that the plates were wearing out, trying to keep up with demand.  A3 plates are only the third plate manufactured in that process of keeping up.  The earlier the plate, the better the sound quality.

These are terribly early.

Cover--- VG-.  Front and back covers both have moderate wear.  The biggest issue is that the bottom seam has been reinforced with Scotch tape.  Could use a replacement.

Labels--- NM/NM.  Both labels retain 100% high gloss and full, bold colors.  These high-gloss labels throughout 1964 were notorious for developing label edgewear in the rainbow.  This one has such a tiny amount of that wear, that’s it’s truly negligible.  I had to scrutinize to find any.  Side 2 label does have a manufacturer’s defect of a printed semi-circular round of white dots.  See photo.  NO SPINDLE MARKS.

Inner Sleeve--- VG+.  Sleeve would have graded EX, except for some crumbling paper at the top edge.  Light browning.  NO SPLIT SEAMS.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: None.

**Stunning gorgeous copy of the vinyl.  If you collect only high-end copies of Beatles albums, the vinyl on this copy will meet your needs proudly.**

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)

**Check out my other auctions for more hard-to-find vinyl!
