Description

This is an incredibly RARE Doo Wop Vocal Group 45 Acetate/Test pressing Downbeats "You Did Me Wrong" B/W " Tanya" . Recorded by Sarge Records in Texas in 1962. This came from Charlie Fitch himself the owner of Sarge. "You Did Me Wrong" is listed in his logbook as Sarge #200.I haven't heard the released 45 of this and there is a possibility that these are unreleased takes. I do not know. The 45 was released on 8/8/62. The test pressing is vinyl over aluminum and is 6 1/2" in diameter. A side is a strong group vocal with a full band. B side is an instrumental that sounds like the backing track of the A side? No lead sheet is listed on the label. ONE OF A KIND! Record is VG+ Test pressing sounds clear and strong, no hiss. Hardly played. Labels have age wear. Comes in the original brittle and torn Audiodisc sleeve. Listen on youtube under j mosrite
