Description
First pressing of this mega rarity, with the elusive insert. An underrated classic of considerable complexity that hasn't been reissued to date. At its best, the duo weave in multiple instruments to create a heady atmosphere that bears repeat listening. Highly psychedelic in places, highlights include the Dennis Wilson-like 'Blue Smoke', post Beatles-like 'The Toll' with leslied vocals and echoed piano, the exultant 'Who Stole My Land' (complete with sunshine mellotron burst at the breakdown), and climaxes with the stunning Ishkamir, featuring backwards vocals and an insistent circular fiddle motif that is utterly beguiling.
GRADING: VG+/EX
Sleeve: very fragile matt shape in good shape all though there is ring wear. Spine still readable. Overall VG+. Record: a few spindle marks on otherwise clean labels, the vinyl has a good gloss and shine to it, and plays through beautifully. Overall EX. Insert: EX (has some slight mottling - see pics).
