Description
This self-titled LP by Megaton is a UK first pressing from 1971, released on the Deram record label with catalogue number SML-R 1086.
The vinyl playing surfaces look near-mint under normal lighting. Under a bright LED light, I see a few faint sleeve-removal hairlines, but these do not affect playback, which is loud and clear. The vinyl plays with a touch of surface noise, but this is not loud, is only noticeable in between tracks, and never overpowers the music.
The front-laminated cover has a light impression of the record on the front and some creasing in the bottom left-hand corner. The spine is very slightly squashed, but all text is clearly legible. The corners and seams show very little signs of wear, and all seams are intact.
The non-laminated rear shows signs of ringwear and some water damage along the bottom seam.
Comes compete with the original poly-lined inner sleeve with blue text and the correct '7-71' (July 1971) date code. The inner sleeve has discoloured with age, and there is some corner creasing, but all seams are intact.
