Up for auction is a 4 CD set of an extremely rare comedy service for radio. You probably heard bits from this CD set during the 70s and 80s on morning radio.
It was originally released as “Superfun” by Mel Blanc and Associates for radio stations. In its marketing one-sheet, it was touted as Laugh-In for radio. Featured in this set, along with Mel Blanc, are performers such as Gary Owen, Arte Johnson, Jessie White.
Also included are the now legendary STORYLADY features. In the 70s, there were three staples of morning radio: “The Adventuress Of Chickenman” and “The Secret Adventures of The Tooth Fairy” (both Dick Orkin products - NOT included with this set) and The Storylady.
Now is your chance to own the extremely rare and hard to find Superfun comedy service, rebranded as “Mel Blane’s Blankity Blanc’s”, on 4 CDs. This set was released in 1997 by “All Star Radio” (apparently now defunct).
The CDs are clean and professionally printed on the label side (screened on, not paper labels). The booklet looks to be a scan of the original booklet, but it also might be the booklet that came with the set. The CDs are housed in a 4 capacity clam shell with no cover photo insert.
