Melissa Manchester ~ Don't Cry Out Loud ~ NAUTILUS LP - NR33 Condition: NEW & FACTORY SEALED with Teldec Sticker
Critical Review: This collection is packed with depth and the vunerable openness of emotions. From the opening track, one of my favorite's, Shine Like You Should. To the the second track, my other favorite, Caravan. Both songs go hand in hand to imply an urge to be confident in who you are. Don't Cry Out Loud is a song about self-preservation and pride which became the top 10 hit off this album. Don't Cry is followed by a jazzy tasty love song called Almost Everything and a remake of a Stevie Wonder song Bad Weather, a song about relationship troubles. Melissa wrote a song imspired by a TV movie called Through The Eyes Of Grace, which is reminds me of Bette Midler's Hello In There. To Make You Smile Again is released here in it's original version, while a remake of this song is on her Tribute CD. Singing From My Soul is originally from her Help Is On The Way LP. She added more lyrics to this version. The remaining two songs are the plaintive ballad Such A Morning and the sizzler Knowing My Love's Alive
