Mellow Candle - Swaddling Songs

This is a very nice copy of a highly sought folk/psychedelia LP, Swaddling Songs by Mellow Candle on the Deram label. Due to its rarity and value, I am using an unusually shrill set of rules for this auction. I apologize for the bold letters and capitalization, but BEFORE BIDDING, PLEASE READ THE RULES FOR THIS AUCTION CAREFULLY AND BE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO THEM.

Rules For Bidding:

1. Serious bidders only, please. If more than 1% of your feedback is negative, please do not bid. If your feedback rating is under 10, please do not bid. If you ignore this, I will only cancel your bid.

2. Buyer agrees to pay the winning amount within 24 hours of the auction's close via PayPal. If you cannot do this, please do not bid. If you win and do not pay within 24 hours, I reserve the right to immediately relist the record or offer it to the second highest bidder.

3. Buyer pays for Priority shipping. This can be pricey to many locations, so please investigate to avoid surprises. U.S. postal rates can be found here. I estimate the package will weigh approximately three pounds, but I can't promise it. My concern will be packaging the record extremely carefully, double boxed, to ensure it makes the trip safely to the winning bidder.

4. Buyer pays for insurance where available. If insurance is not available to your country, then YOU ASSUME ALL RISK FOR THE SAFE DELIVERY OF THE RECORD, NO EXCEPTIONS. This includes risk for a lost shipment as well as damage. Insurance must cover the full purchase price of the record.

5. If the record is lost or damaged in shipment, I will cooperate fully in getting a reimbursement for the buyer, but I will not be responsible for failure of any country's postal system to make good on the insurance.

Description

The vinyl is beautiful. I see two faint scuffs on side 2, neither of which is audible using my turntable. Overall, I would grade it "E" (which in my system resides between NM and VG; I almost never use NM). It sounds fantastic and clean. In one of the photographs below, there are four white arcs shown. These are artifacts of my flash camera and are not scratches. The lead out area on the vinyl is stamped (not etched) with "ZAL-11142P-2W." The jacket isn't as nice, but it's not bad. I'd grade it VG due to aging, ring wear, and some price sticker damage in the upper right corner (see closeup below). There are no splits, but there is minor wear on the seams. This is really a great copy of an extremely rare LP.
