Description
FORMAT: 78RPM Record
GENRE: PREWAR BLUES JUGBAND MEMPHIS BLUES
NOTES ABOUT THIS RECORDING: KC Moan cut in Memphis in October 1929
ARTIST: Memphis Jug Band
TITLES: K.C. MOAN/KANSAS CITY BLUES
LABEL & NUMBER: Bluebird 5430
GRADE & DESCRIPTION (RECORD): V (gotta love the fidelity on these Bluebirds! Deep, rich jug, great vocals - even ear, no digs or or blasting, BUT one invisible hang groove at the start of the KC Moan side. Might play through on your rig or track through with some weight)
(I grade conservatively using the VJM scale. Slash grades ("V/V+") indicates different grades for each side, and side-by-side grades ("VV+") indicates a record that is right on the line between the two grades. Please look carefully at the photos to assist in your own evaluation, but you can trust my grading.)
