This collection contains many rare German and essential Kraut, Dutch psych and garage, UK and US progressive and folk, early electronic and psychedelic records from the period 1967 to 1975. Blue Memphis
Memphis has a get-together party with several brit stars, most notable Peter Green (Fleetwood Mac), John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin), Pete Wingfield, Chris Spedding (Battered Ornaments, Nucleus), Duster Bennet, Conrad Isodore, Larry Steele and a high number of session men on horns. The A-side consits of a 'Blue Memphis Suite' which is a story of Memphis' life and how it was in the blues scene, while the B-side has a number of songs picked out for different reasons. Peter Green is fantastic here with his wah-wah Les Paul trademark on all tracks, one of his final sessions before his long break as a recording artist. Recorded 3rd and 5th, 6th and 18th of June 1970 at Delane Lea, Kingsway Studio and Olympic Sounds, Barnes, UK
