I've spent 35 years amassing this killer collection and I'm going to start selling off some to you, the lucky folks who can now proudly own them. Mercyful Fate S/T EP, 1982 Rave On records. I need to be very clear here - THIS IS NOT a modern reissue and THIS IS NOT a shitty bootleg... this is the REAL DEAL! Yes, this is the 100% original 1st pressing with WHITE border. This is a nearly pristine copy that I was lucky enough to find and buy years ago. This version is EXTREMELY rare! There are varying reports of how many copies of this were printed before switching to the all black border versions (2nd and 3rd pressings), anywhere from 200 to 1000. But, in fact, there were between 400 - 800 copies pressed, and I confirmed this with Michael Denner and Hank Shermann, whom I've had the pleasure of meeting in person. Very few high grade examples have survived over the years, as the cover is quite thin and flimsy. If you are lucky enough to find one for sale, it typically has either seam splits, writing, tears, creasing, discoloration, dented corners, ringwear or edge wear. It is nearly impossible to find in the condition this one is in, with only a small area on the front where the original owner took the sticker off. Corners are sharp, the seams are perfect, all of the original sheen of the surface is present. The spine is perfect and square. It's been stored in a sealed plastic sleeve for years. There is very little discoloration due to the proper storage methods. A true NM- survivor of nearly four decades!! It even still smells like 1982!

The LP itself is in NM- condition, only a few minor sleeve scuffs, nearly invisible unless under a very bright light, keep it from being NM. The LP retains it's full luster. The labels are clean and without defects. I have never played this copy - this is visually graded only, but there is absolutely no reason to believe it shouldn't play exceptionally well. Correct matrix run-outs and "What's Happening?' and "Now You're Talking - FOON" engravings. Oh, and if that wasn't enough... this one has the often missing, original lyric insert in NM- condition also. See hi res pics for details. This is one of the few complete copies of this LEGENDARY EP you're likely to see.
