From my personal collection, this is the 2008 Vinyl pressing of Metallica - Metallica (Black Album), pressed on 4LP 45rpm Black Vinyl and housed inside a box with lyric insert. Part of the LOUDER FASTER HEAVIER series.
This is the US Warner release, Mastered at Bernie Grundman Studios from the original master tapes.
The condition is overall very good+ and has been well looked after since my original purchase (I am the original owner).
The outer box is in very good condition with no split corners. It does have some wear in places, mostly to the corners (please see photos). The lyric insert is also in very good condition with only some minor wear.
The single pocket jackets included are in very good condition with no seam splits. As they are mostly black printed, they do feature minor imperfections and the odd scuffs in the finish but none have any indentations or creases. One pocket sleeve has a very minor corner damage (pictured above). The records are housed in the original paper poly lined sleeves, a few which have minor splitting at the bottom.
The records have only ever been played once through on a Linn LP12 deck and Linn Adikt cart, back upon my original purchase. The LP's are all in very good+ condition. I believe these were pressed at Pallas USA and the surface looks nice and clean on all. I can't see any scuffs or scratches on the playing surface, other than some light marks on a couple of the run-in grooves (pictured above) but under strong light there may be some light marks. LP's 1+4 have very minor edge warps but track very well.
Playback is excellent and they sound superb. While there is some light surface noise in places (and being 45rpm the surface noise can usually be higher than 33rpm to begin with), there are generally no major playback issues that I noted and the sound of the mastering is excellent.
The belly band is included and still fully intact.
It will be packaged well for delivery in a box and carefully packed to avoid movement inside the box.
