Description
By far the crown of my collection, but it’s time to let someone else enjoy this treasure. I don’t want to overdo the sentiment, but Geddy Lee’s willingness to sell his baseball collection inspired me to make this available to the serious Metallica fans out there.
It’s an original pressing from the Roadrunner imprint from Music for Nations (RR 9717) which makes it rare. What sets it apart is the insert with the merchandise offer and European tour. Unfortunately that tour was never finished as the bus accident after the Stockholm show took Cliff’s life.
I don’t know much about record grading but did my best to be conservative. Cover has expected wear in the edges, mostly in the corners. I tried to include a picture of the spine to help you see the wear there. Dust sleeve looks good and has a ton of detail. The band is famous for their attention to quality. Album hasn’t been played in at least a decade but played clean, with only a few pops and crackles.
I picked up the album at a street fair in Amsterdam in April 1988 for 10 guilders (about $10 at that time) and had no idea that I’d bought a collector’s item. Just loved the music. It’s been prominently displayed in my collection for 35 years, but it’s time for someone else to have a turn. Enjoy!
