You know those listings that say "near-mint" or "lightly used"? Yeah, that's not this one.
This is Metallica. Whiplash. You listen to Metallica. Metallica doesn't sit idle. The record is in solid, playable condition. It has regular wear from everyday face-melting. There may be some scratches and other surface wear, but it will still melt your face off today. "Jump in the Fire" and "Whiplash" (the special neckbrace remix), and a live version of "Seek and Destroy" and "Phantom Lord".
This record was always played between "loud" and "here comes my dad with a gun" volume. I don't seem to have removed all the hardcore loudness however, as there still seems to be plenty left. It's Metallica.
The outer jacket has a nice surface tear right on the cover, probably from some hardcore thrashing or headbangin. The edges are all braced with clear tape for extra strength and protection, like the roadcase for a Flying V (or Gibson Explorer). It's a custom job.
This is MRS-04 from Megaforce Records (with the silver label). I believe it is from 1983. If you are looking for one of these to actually play, this is perfect.
