The Meters "Struttin'" LP
Original 1970 issue on Josie Records!
This is an original pressing of the Meters' "Struttin'" album on vinyl. This is from 1970, and not one of the new reissues.
"Struttin" is mostly an instrumental record, although there are a few tracks that feature some vocals. This is a great record for DJs or anyone who is interested in early New Orleans styled funk. I am grading the vinyl as very good+ (VG+), as there are some slight scuffs and very light scratches that are visible. However, I did some spot testing on the record, and didn't notice any obvious pops, clicks, or skips. There is a little bit of surface noise in the quiet passages from normal wear & tear, but it doesn't really detract from the music, in my opinion. I'm grading the cover as excellent (EX). The only flaws I really see are a tiny bit of wear & tear on the edges, the corners aren't as sharp as they once were, and there is a little ring wear on the back cover. But really, finding an original in this condition doesn't happen very often these days.
