Description

This is an overall fine original US pressing copy of a 1987 various artist comp of '60s surf, beat, garage, and rock recordings by Mexican groups. Eight of the record's 17 tracks are by two groups, Los Locos del Ritmo and Los Apson (whose name is a sort of anagram of the band's hometown, Agua Prieta in the state of Sonora: A-P-SON). Eight other groups are represented by one song each, and the record closes with a Chevy radio ad recorded by Paul Revere & the Raiders (cuz why the heck not, I guess). The record doesn't have a jacket as such, but instead comes with two xeroxed sheets, one of which (the "front") has the title and a photo, and is about 11" x 13", and the other of which contains the track list and some liner notes (the "back"), and is 8.5" x 11". The larger xerox has some creasing, while the smaller is like new -- overall VG++. The disc has a small scratch/scrape in the Paul Revere & the Raiders track on side 2 that has little to no appreciable effect on play, and is otherwise clean, and plays like new (not counting the noise from the source discs) (M-).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their sleeves. The sleeves have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded discs except where otherwise noted.
If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
