Description
Mezzanine - classic trip hop from Massive Attack in 1998 - the original 200g vinyl (I checked by weighing it!) with 'DJ-style' almost blank labels. I rate the vinyl as EX - the sound quality on this is awesome, with deep, fulsome bass, and lots of atmospheric depth - of course, the engineers added some crackles to enhance the atmosphere.The records are glossy and mark free with little discernible evidence of being played on the labels. 'BRLP 4 A/B/C/D-1-1-' in the lost wax - I presume that this means its a first pressing. I've owned it from new in 1998, and can certify that it has only been played a handful of times, and then on a very high quality, well maintained turntable. The records have been recently and carefully processed on my record cleaner, then play checked all the way through in order to confirm the "excellent" assessment, but there are a couple of additional clicks that weren't added in the studio - there is one audible scratch (4 or 5 clicks, no more) on side 4. The original photo sleeves are immaculate, and I've put the records themselves into lightweight Nagaoka sleeves to keep them dust-free. The sleeve has been kept in a plastic outer, and would be an easy EX+ if it weren't for a single, 5cm split at the top - the price one pays for having such heavy vinyl, I suppose. I'm offering FREE POSTAGE, no reserve and a very sensible start price on this and all my vinyl records. It will come in a high grade mailer, with further internal packaging to protect the sleeve.
