Comments: It will be a challenge to find a better copy.
This one came just before the ‘BIG ONE’and has Snoopy Dean on guitar and vocal. Dean was later associated with the Blue Candle group “All The People”.
A-side is up-tempo with a vocal arrangement reminding me of the 4 Tops. Stylistically this is all over the soul map, with touches of old school while embracing the trends at the time. It’s rhythmically adventures with a superb drummer and multi-layered percussion, a funky bass line and even a break like sequence.
B-side is a group vocal that comes across as a ballad even though it’s slightly up-tempo with an accentuated beat. To me it comes closer to the Chicago school of soul than anything else.
