US Tour Program 1971

Collector officiel. Edition américaine.
Eté 1971, forts de leur succès croissant, les Jackson Five entament leur 2e escapade américaine : une vaste tournée de plus de 50 dates à travers les USA, sillonnant des villes comme Philadelphie, New York ou Milwaukee. C'est à cette période qu'est embauché Bill Bray, chef de la sécurité, qui accompagnera Michael tout au long de sa carrière. En première partie figurent les Commodores, avec le non moins célèbre Lionel Richie. Le tour prend fin le 12 septembre 1971 à Hawaï. Le superbe Program de cette tournée proposé ici est plus luxueux et plus grand que le tout premier programme publié lors de la première tournée de 1970. Il est tout aussi rare. Nombreuses photos couleurs et N&B inédites (Michael déguisé en Père Noël, en Frank Sinatra, Michael participant au "Dating Game", sorte de "Tournez manège" américain). Grand format (33x25cm, 24 pages).

This auction is for the second ever Jackson 5 Tour Programme. In summer 1971, The Jackson Five embarked on their second tour in the USA playing some 50 dates with concerts in cities including Philadelplia, New York and Milwaukee. The opening act was an up-and-coming group from Tuskegee, Alabama, called The Commodores featuring lead singer Lionel Richie. The tour ended on September 12 in Honolulu. For security on this tour, a former Los Angeles police officer was hired as Security Chief. Bill Bray will go on to work for the Jacksons and subsequently for Michael for the next 25 years. Nice souvenir glossy book with many exclusive colour / black & white photos of Marlon, Jermaine, Tito, Jackie and Michael Jackson (dressed up like Santa Claus, Frank Sinatra, or attending "The Dating Game"...).
Large soft cover book 13" x 10" (30x23cm, 24 pages).
