Description
A superb original 1982 UK A2 B2 1st Press copy of Michael Jackson -Thriller, an album which is packed with hits & needs no introduction! Released on the Epic label EPC 85930 this is from our own collection & is in fabulous Near Mint barely played condition.
No Michael Jackson producer credit on the rear sleeve - after the first presses this was changed to give Michael credit along with Quincy Jones.
Sonically this copy absolutely rips the roof off! Don't bother buying a compressed digital repress LP, this is how it was meant to sound!
The record has been ultrasonically cleaned in our amazing Degritter and the vinyl has come up spotlessly clean & very shiny with no marks. Clean labels & spindle holes -this has been played on our high end system two or three times only, then cleaned & carefully stored. Graded NM.
Playback is really dynamic, full throttle and snappy with Michael's unique vocals central in the soundstage - it really slammed out of our speakers. On a half decent system the power is breathtaking, sounds whip around your room, and the drumbeat punches through really pushing the air - just fabulous.
The groove is irresistible & guaranteed to get your feet moving! The vinyl plays through beautifully with no jumping or sticking. A really enjoyable listen from start to finish.
The gatefold sleeve is sturdy, smooth & solid ( see photos). Crisp readable spine with no pinching and sharp edges. There is a tiny area of rubbing to the bottom edge but barely noticeable. No writing, splits, stains, tears or tape.
The original printed inner lyric sleeve ( with Michael's charming cartoon drawings) is also included. We have added an anti static liner to keep the record pristine after cleaning - you will receive this also.
A superb top copy, fully cleaned & tested, ready to pop on your turntable & get dancing!
