And then when the Afrobeat wind instruments and the strings à la 'What's Going On?' you are addicted once and for all and want to hear more about it."- translated from the LA Times The BBC recently named him the most important newcomer of the year in its" Sound Of 2012 "ranking, the Brit Awards jury nominated him in the" Critic's Choice "category and Spiegel Online also named him in the Pop forecast 2012 presented as one of the acts that will cause a stir this year: Michael Kiwanuka is undoubtedly one of the greatest musical hopes for 2012. The young Londoner with Ugandan roots is described in the international press as "uniquely brilliant" (Sunday Times) and "genuine star" (Mojo), "one of the most powerful soulful voices to emerge in years" wrote Dazed & Confused, and also there were already celebrated gigs and declarations of love in the USA.
