Description
For sale is a Stereo release of Concerto No. 1 In D Major - Concerto No.2 In D Minor by Michael Rabin (Capitol Records, SP 8534).
This scarce Rainbow label, Capitol pressing is still in its original shrink wrap! The vinyl does show some play wear as well as some inner sleeve marks but still plays great with surface noise noticeable mostly during quiet parts. This might be a play copy vinyl, and the jacket might be a replacement for the one you own with more handling wear. Please see below for more details as to the condition of both.
CONDITION:
Disc is VG+ and plays with faint hiss and occasional rotational pops that are noticeable during quiet parts, nothing overwhelming but worth noting. Just before the opening of side one there is an unusual quarter second sound that may be caused by a surface mark but could also be a manufacturer defect; regardless it doesn't not interfere with the opening as it occurs a second before the first track begins. There are site marks on the vinyl, but they are mostly superficial and do not interfere with the play as much as would seem. Given that much of this album is quiet in most parts the faint hiss is noticeable at higher volumes and only in a few spots toward the middle of side two, otherwise it is an enjoyable listen. This is not a mint condition vinyl, so please do not expect completely perfect play.
Jacket is EX showing only minor corner dings and wear along the opening in which there is a slight tear of about 1" where High Fidelity is printed. Jacket is still in original shrink after all these years!!
