Description
This is a rare 1st pressing on Vertigo (1971) of Mike Absolom’s eponymous album, a rather unusual collectors item in that the sleeve is itself a 6-section foldout poster; depicting parts of London.
Absalom performed British-folk songs with a macabre twist and garnered medium success, going on to live in both British-Columbia in Canada, Asunción in Paraguay and County Mayo in Ireland; gathering knowledge of local folk music and instruments along the way.
This particular copy is a UK 1971 1st pressing, graded VG due to several significant scratches to the vinyl and general wear and tear to the sleeve (see pictures).
Please note that this LP has not been play tested but even below a VG+ grading is a collectors item for the poster sleeve alone.
The edges of the poster are minorly frayed in places and there is a sticker in the upper right front corner (when sleeve shaped).
I'm starting this item at £50 which I feel is a bargain regardless of condition (consider taking a gander at relative Discogs prices...) so fire away, any questions feel free to ask.
