MIKE ABSALOM - HECTOR AND OTHER PECCADILLOS
Very rare 2nd album by Absalom on Philips 6308 131, issued mid-late 1972.
Collectors will know the rarity of the first Absalom album on Vertigo, with the glorious fold out sleeve, but on offer here is the equally rare 2nd album issued on Philips that was initially planned for Vertigo, but then appeared under their distributor's label instead. This sold as little as that Vertigo debut when it was released and is very rarely seen. A wonderful record with great humour throughout. Read on...
FRONT COVER: Slightly grubby with some minor creasing and light staining to the top left hand corner. Still most presentable though, so given a grading of VG. All of the corners are sharp and there is very little shelf wear on all sides.
BACK COVER: This has the edge on the front, and is very clean, showing some ringwear, given a grading of VG+.
SPINE: Has some minor staining which does not impact upon the lettering at all. Completely legible and very clear.
LABEL: Both sides show some spindle wear, but are magnificient otherwise.
SIDE ONE: A fine piece of vinyl, with a few light marks, but nothing at all being a cause for concern. Excellent condition.
SIDE TWO: Superb! One very minor light scratch, but otherwise very clean, and plays really well too. Excellent condition.
This plays really well and is housed in a most presentable sleeve. Overall final grading of VG++.
THE BLURB BIT: Postage within the UK is £3.00. I accept bidders the world over, but not from any countries that other ebayers have had problems with. Postage, by Surface Mail abroad is set at £8.00, as is recorded delivery in the UK. Air mail is £6 within the EU. The album will be solidly packaged and dispatched once Payment has been received. I have maintained a love of collecting records for 15 years now and feel that my judgements on conditions are HONEST and FAIR. I go by the UK RRPG standards and general eBay grading policy.
