Description
We are starting to sell off parts of a large collection of records, of virtually all genres.
Today, we shall mostly be selling UK psych, folk, beat and progressive - some great Beatles and Stones items included. Please check our other auctions and look out for future auctions, they will appear very regularly.
Up for sale now we have a really nice copy of the Mike Absalom LP on UK Vertigo from 1971 6360053, original swirl / spiral label and inner with, what is probably, (although I cannot 100% proove this), Mike Absalom's signature on the back. What makes me virtually sure is that I have a copy of his other LP, 'Hector and Other Peccadillos' which is also signed, and the signatures are virtually identical. This LP is also currently up for sale.
Condition .
The record plays EX+, although there are a couple of small scuff marks on the vinyl. There are only a few spindle marks around the spindle hole, although someone has written their name on the non-spiral side.. This record has been very rarely played. Apart from the small scuffs there are virtually no hairlines even. All in all, a beautiful playing copy. You will not need an upgrade from this.
The sleeve, which is the full foldout cover, has some wear along the spine and a couple of the seams and the corners. This is not at all unusual for this LP, as people did keep on unfolding and folding it. Mike's signature is on the back cover, along with a small sticker from a Jersey sound studio. Apart from the seams, however, the unlaminated cover is really EX+, with no ringwear. Although you would never guess it, all the drawings and pictures on the cover are by Roger Dean, but it is a long way from the fantasy stuff he was drawing for Yes and the like.
