This record is something of a landmark in British jazz.

It must be listened to with an open mind and acute ears, for it is genuinely improvised.

The Mike Taylor Quartet bases its improvisations on sequences of chords or scales, but there are passages where the improvisation is free - not tied down to any particular scale or chord.

Sometimes there is a definite solo voice, and sometimes the improvisation is collective throughout the piece.

The cover design, by Dave Tomlin (Soprano Sax), represents the last eight bars of the composition Pendulum.

The LP comes in its sleeve with another sleeve included in the item

Both sleeves are autographed by Dave Tomlin.

For the collectors of this genre of music this is a must-have. Unlikely to be seen again here on Ebay.
