Mint condition 5xLP box set of "The Complete In A Silent Way Sessions," released exclusively by Mosaic Records and now out of print!
This factory-sealed box set features five 180gm vinyl records, and represents the 5th chapter in Columbia's series of vintage Miles Davis box set reissues. The five LP's chronicle the full extent of the sessions at Columbia that resulted in "In A Silent Way." These recordings span the period between September 1968 and February 1969. This point in Davis' career found him venturing into groundbreaking new territory after the expansion of his legendary second quintet; Chick Corea, Dave Holland, John McLaughlin, and Joe Zawinul were added to the mix, while Herbie Hancock, Tony Williams, and Wayne Shorter stayed on board.
[ Please note that although the box set is in mint condition and has never been listened to, the plastic factory seal is minimally torn in several places. ]
