Description
Bitches Brew is a studio double album by Miles Davis. The album continued his experimentation with electrical instruments. Bitches Brew was Davis' first Gold record. It gained recognition as one of jazz's greatest albums, as well as being a major influence to rock and funk musicians. Perhaps it most important innovation was rhythmic, where recording consisted of two bassists, two to three drummers, two to three electric piano players, and a percussionist all playing at the same time. It was a turning point in modern jazz. The album won a Grammy Award for Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album in 1971. The Penguin Guide to Jazz gave Bitches Brew a four-star rating out of four stars. In 2003, the album was ranked number 94 on Rolling Stone's magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
The two records are in near mint condition, having only been played a few times. The one discernible flaw is a very small surface scratch on Side 1 (which consists of one 20:07 duration song - Pharaoh's Dance). The tiny scratch is at the very end of the song (I tried to photo it - see last 2 photos included).
Each of the two records show a Side 1 and Side 2, not Sides 1 through 4 as one would normally expect to see.
The album cover is in Excellent shape with a very slight album wearing ring. The sleeves are in very good condition but show signs of aging and slight splits on the closed sides. That said, the records themselves are in near mint condition. Call me old-fashioned, but there is nothing like seeing an almost :) totally clean, unblemished record. Enjoy.
