NOTE: “Here's John Coltrane giving his notice to his employer for much of the past five years. Thankfully, there are plenty of recorded encounters between Miles Davis and John Coltrane. This is one of the last (except for two great tracks with Coltrane as guest soloist on "Someday My Prince Will Come".) The tunes are what you would expect the Miles Davis Quintet to play in 1960. The leader's trumpet playing is adventurous, and gave the Swedish crowd their money's worth, if not exactly what they expected to hear. But Coltrane uses this familiar book of routines to explore playing entire chords on the tenor sax (a trick suggested by Monk 3 years earlier). Some of the solos here are the start of his avant-garde period”.
SIDE 1 and 2: 2 x Excellent (EX), The vinyl is in excellent condition and looks never played with only a few touches of wear. small one or two Light scuff. Vinyl is virtually flawless, bright, and shiny. The labels are clean and unmarked. There is some very light (minimal) background noise occasionally during playback I played both sides of the record several times and Both sides play through beautifully with no skips or pops that impact the sound quality. CONDITION OF SLEEVE: Very Good Plus (VG+) Some creases and light scrape marks around cover art from handling, corner bends. All spines are mostly 100% intact with no, to very minimal, shelf wear fray, title spine mostly legible with no, to very minimal, fray patches and wear. grade appearance of the artwork.
