Description

Miles Davis – On The Corner original 1972 US stereo LP on Columbia Records, catalog KC 31906. Classic electric jazz‑fusion / funk album featuring the iconic yellow “On the Corner” / purple “OFF” gatefold artwork by Corky McCoy and red Columbia labels.

Vinyl is graded Good: shows noticeable surface marks and scuffs on both sides and a long visual mark, but still suitable for play for a non‑audiophile collector. Expect background noise, crackle, and occasional ticks; no deep gouges spotted in normal light, but this copy is sold as‑is, untested on my equipment. Labels are legible with typical spindle marks.

Cover is graded Fair: original gatefold jacket with significant ring wear, edge and corner wear, splits and fraying, and some writing/marking on the front title area as shown in the photos. The gatefold spine and seams are worn but still mostly holding; inside artwork and photo panels are intact with some spotting/age toning. This is a well‑handled but presentable original sleeve, ideal as a play copy or for someone who wants an authentic 1972 jacket.

This is a must‑have Miles Davis LP from his early‑70s electric period, including the long funk suites “On the Corner / New York Girl / Thinkin’ One Thing and Doin’ Another / Vote for Miles,” “Black Satin,” “One and One,” and “Helen Butte / Mr. Freedom X.” A solid, affordable original pressing for collectors of jazz, fusion, and funk looking for a playable copy with original artwork.
