Miles Davis Original Quintet Prestige PR 7254 NEW Sealed MINT Bergenfield RVG LP w/ John Coltrane

Experience a rare, factory-sealed vintage copy of Miles Davis – The Original Quintet (First Recording), released on Prestige Records PR 7254. This historic session features the legendary first Miles Davis Quintet: Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Red Garland, Paul Chambers, and Philly Joe Jones.

The back jacket displays the Prestige Bergenfield, New Jersey address, placing this LP firmly within the early Prestige pressing era. While the album remains sealed and cannot be opened to verify label details, collectors will recognize that early Prestige pressings of PR 7254 were typically issued with the Yellow/Black “fireworks” Prestige label.  (As the record is sealed, the exact label variation cannot be guaranteed.)

Beautifully recorded by Rudy Van Gelder, this session captures the Quintet in some of their most important early work — a cornerstone release for any jazz collection.

  • Record: Factory sealed. Vinyl & Inlay presumed mint.

  • Jacket: Still sealed in original shrink. Light shelf wear from storage (see photos).
