Miles Davis Quintet The Great Prestige Records Recordings Box Set Cat # APJ-035

I am selling this box set for a business acquaintance who purchased 4 big tubs of records from a friend who buys storage unit auctions.

The gentleman who lost his storage unit was apparently very serious about his music and took very good care of his records.

This auction is for the Prestige Records 1995 release of Miles Davis The Great Prestige Recordings. Catalogue Number APJ-035
This 5LP release was pressed in 180 gram vinyl and limited to 2500 copies. You are bidding on number 1560 of 2500.

There is renewed interest in Miles and his music with the release of the Documentary "Miles Ahead" on April 1st 2016.

I am not an experienced record grader so I am not going to attempt to grade things but I will provide an accurate description and pictures.

I am not seeing any scratches on the albums themselves. They look like they may not have ever been played.
I wonder if the original owner may have played these once and recorded them to CD or computer.
None of the sleeves have been sliced open by the records.

The booklet shows a little wear to the bottom right corner on the front cover and has some black marks and lines on the inside of the front cover. See pictures.

The box is in good shape just some surface abrasions to the front and back from storage.
There is one corner of the box top that is split and a couple of spots on the front label that are scratched. See pictures.

The albums are:

Miles Prestige High Fi LP 7014
Cookin' With the Miles Dais Quintet Prestige 7094
Steamin' With The Miles Davis Quintet Prestige 7200
Relaxin' With The Miles Davis Quintet Prestige 7129
Workin' With The Miles Davis Quintet Prestige 7166

Each album includes a clear plastic protective sleeve.
The album covers are sharp and glossy. This set was well taken care of and I do not think you will be disappointed if you win it!

Note: This box set includes the best reissue of the Workin' LP you can now own. The master tapes for this record were damaged AFTER this release.
There has never been another audiophile release of this record and another audiophile version of this album will never be able to be released as a result of the damage.

Bidding starts at 99 cents with no reserve.

I am more than happy to answer any questions or send additional pictures on request.
