Miles Davis Sketches Of Spain 1961 Mono Repress 6-Eye CBS Label VG/VG.


For auction is a very good listeners copy of Sketches Of Spain by American jazz trumpeter, bandleader and composer, Miles Davis. Originally released in July 1960, Sketches Of Spain is considered an exemplary album in the genre of third stream, a fusion of jazz, classical and world music. This copy is a 1961 mono reissue with 6-eye Columbia label that has “CBS” at twelve o’clock.


Vinyl is play graded VG. Some visible surface marks and hairlines but nothing deep that can be felt. One specifically across Side1 is very noticeable but does not affect playback. Plays with mild background noise at times that is never overwhelming. No skips or jumps. Please see pics.


Cover is also in VG condition. Shelf wear on corners and seams. Corners are rounded with dents. Lower right is the worst where a tiny split has started. No other splits and title is mostly legible. The “t” and “c” in “Sketches” is peeled. Fading/scuffing, stains and ring wear are on front and back. Super solid and looks nice. Original Columbia Records inner sleeve is included but a generic white die-cut one is used to protect vinyl. Please see pics.
