Description

Both labels have 47 West 63rd NYC; 43 West 61st St. address at the bottom of the back cover. Mono. Deep groove on 1 side of the record.  The record has "RVG" and the "ear" inscribed in the dead wax.  Miles Davis, trumpet, on all 12 tracks.  6 tracks also include J.J. Johnson, trombone; Jimmy Heath, tenor sax; Gil Coggins, piano; Percy Heath, bass; Art Blakey, drums.  Recorded in 1953.  6 tracks also include Johnson, trombone; Jackie McLean, alto sax; Coggins, piano; Oscar Pettiford, bass; Kenny Clarke, drums.  Recorded in 1952. Of the 12 tunes, 3 are alternate masters.  2 punch holes in the jacket indicate a" promotional" copy.

Cover:  VG(-)    Clean with 2 - 1" splits on the top and bottom edges at the spine.  Crease on the top spine corner. Partial record ring on the top white section of the front cover.  Edge wear.  Minor aging on the back cover. Small stain mark on the front cover from a former sticker.

Record:   Mint(-)    Visually shows no wear. 2 faint  surface rub marks on Side 2, 4 on Side 1.  These are barely visible and do not affect the sound. On Side 1, Track 3, 2 clicks at the end of the Track.  No other surface noise.  Fine, collectable quality.
