“Miles” The new MILES DAVIS Quintet LP Jazz Record

INTERESTING (Possibly valuable)

TYPOGRAPHICAL ERROR ON THE RECORD

Instead of “Quintet” as written on the jacket,

on the center label of the disk it reads; “Quartet”

The five musicians are listed just below this error

This is the first LP to be issued featuring the Miles Davis Quintet–a group that was to become one of the most influential small bands of the Fifties. It also introduced John Coltrane to the jazz public, launching him on his significant career. Davis's singular mastery with a mute, exemplified on The Musings of Miles (OJCCD-004-2), is further emphasized, as is Red Garland's penchant for picking "new" old standards for Miles.

Side A; Just Squeeze Me, No Greater Love, How Am I to Know?,

Side B; S'posin, Miles’ Theme, Stable Mates

Miles Davis (trumpet), with John Coltrane (tenor sax), Red Garland (piano), Paul Chambers (bass), Philly Joe Jones (drums)

This vintage vinyl record was one of a collection of Jazz recordings.  It has been played, although not for years.  Both the disk and the jacket appear to be in good condition.
