Description
This is Atlantic Records 1279, Milt Jackson Ray Charles, Soul Brothers, a black label, deep groove original mono issue of this classic album. The record looks in near mint condition showing almost no signs of use. However, there are portions of the album that have a low crackle under the music, particularly in parts of the extremely quiet "How Long Blues". This does not distort the music or cause skips but it is audible and keeps me from play grading higher than VG+(+). The labels are excellent showing only light spindle marks. The glossy, original cover has a small 1/8" bump on the lower left spine but is otherwise near mint. This is an excellent, collector's grade copy of this wonderful piece offered without a reserve price. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12.
