Description

Charles Mingus at Monterey on the original private pressing issue JWS 001/002 from '64 - 2 LP set - gatefold - RARE! Deep Groove vinyl is very clean, some spindle marks visible on three sides - VG+. Jacket has seam split on the top of the front pocket all the way across, back pocket has 1.5" split on L side. Some tape residue on inside of gatefold. Otherwise, VG. Charles Mingus with Buddy Collette, Charlie McPherson, John Handy, Jack Nimitz, Bobby Bryant, Lou Blackburn, Red Callender, Danny Richmond, Jaki Byard, etc...This was originally only available through mail order from Mingus directly. It was later re-issued by Prestige. It has NEVER been issued on CD in the US.
