Description
Up for auction is a fantastic copy of Ministry's landmark 1986 album, Twitch. This is the album where Al Jourgensen shed the last remnants of synth-pop and plunged headfirst into the dark, aggressive, and sample-heavy world of industrial EBM, paving the way for the band's legendary future.
Produced by the iconic Adrian Sherwood, Twitch is a masterwork of layered electronics, punishing beats, and raw energy. It features the classic industrial club hits "Over the Shoulder," "We Believe," and "Just Like You."
The Pressing:
This is the original 1986 US pressing from Allied Record Company (ARC), identified by the "A" stamp in the runout grooves. These early pressings are sought after for their dynamic and punchy sound, capturing the dense, groundbreaking production work of the era perfectly. Don't miss your chance to own a piece of industrial music history!
Overall Grade: VG+ / VG (Very Good Plus / Very Good)
I grade conservatively under a bright LED light and play-test all records. This is a solid and highly enjoyable copy.
• Vinyl (Strong VG+): The vinyl is in beautiful Very Good Plus condition. It retains a high, deep gloss and looks excellent on the turntable. Under direct light, a few faint paper scuffs are visible from the original inner sleeve, but there are absolutely no deep or feelable scratches.
• Play-Grade: The record plays wonderfully. The audio is loud, crisp, and powerful, with no skips, loops, or loud, distracting pops. There is some light, occasional static audible in the quietest passages and between tracks, as is expected, but it is never intrusive and the music completely overpowers it. A fantastic listening experience.
• Album Cover (VG): The cover grades as a solid Very Good. It is structurally sound and presents well, showing some honest signs of its age. There is light ring wear visible on the front and back, which is very common for these dark covers. The corners show some light bumping and softening, and there is minor edge wear. The spine is intact and the text is partially readable.
• NO seam splits, NO writing, NO cut-out marks, and NO major stains.
• Inner Sleeve: Includes the original custom printed inner sleeve. It is in good condition, with no tears, but does have a 2-inch seam split on the bottom edge.
