Description
Minor Threat "Salad Days" TEST PRESSING MINT DESCRIPTION: Absolutely MINT condition Test Pressing of Minor Threat's final record, the "Salad Days" EP, recorded right after the band broke up in 1983, but not released in 1985. Dischord No. 15, Dischord Records, Washington, DC. I'm not sure how many test pressings we made, since they were pressed by Southern Studios in London, but my guess would be 50. Black vinyl record with white paper labels, in thin plastic sleeve. Small "15" written in black pen on one side (see photo).
For your amusement, I have included some photos of Susie, the Dischord House dog who is seen running with me on the back cover of "Salad Days". I dressed her up in a dry cleaner bag, with one of Ian's skateboard kneepads on her head, with straws and cotton balls stuck in holes the kneepad. She was very patient with us. I ended up using one of the photos for a Christmas card. Sorry, the photos of Susie are NOT included in this auction - they are just here for you to giggle at.
This is probably the last "Salad Days" test pressing I will be selling.
CONDITION / PROVENANCE: This test pressing is in absolutely mint condition, has never been played, and has been kept in a plastic sleeve away from light and dust since it was made 24 years ago. It comes from my (Jeff Nelson - Minor Threat/Dischord Records) punk archives, which are being downsized after continuing to be described as "too big" and "insane" or containing "more than my potential kids or grandkids will ever want." Please see my auction for other punk/hardcore flyers and records as well as other jetsam I'll be putting up for sale......
PAYMENT: Ohio Residents add 6.75% Sales Tax to item total (not shipping). Payment by PayPal only, says eBay. Please pay within 3 days of auction end.
SHIPPING: This record is pretty darn valuable, so I will pack it between thick cardboard and then put it inside a bigger box. Within USA, Priority Mail will be calculated based on where you live, and on top of that I'm afraid I have to add $9.05 in "handling costs" ($ 2.35 for Signature Confirmation, and $6.70 for insurance. eBay now requires that the seller (me) provide insurance, so I am also adding 6.70, which is my guess as to what the Post Office will charge me). I will only charge you what actual postage, signature confirmation and insurance works out to be. If it's less, I'll give you a refund. If it's more, I'll pay for it. Outside of USA, reasonable Airmail rates apply. I'll be happy to give you a quote for postage to your country. International buyers: I WILL SEND YOU AN E-MAIL INVOICE WITH YOUR TOTAL AND SHIPPING OPTIONS. PLEASE DO NOT PAY UNTIL YOU RECEIVE AN E-MAIL FROM ME. If you might bid on some other flyers I have up for auction, just let me know - I'll be happy to combine shipping, and in so doing save you money, me effort, and the Earth trees... Thanks for looking!
REFUNDS: I guarantee 100% the authenticity of everything I am selling, and strive to describe the condition of items as accurately as possible. I will only accept returns if you have e-mailed me first and I have agreed to refund your money.
Payment by PayPal only (eBay rules). Please pay within 3 days of auction end. 308 (GS 5.3.7 (308))
