Description

If you like the mellow, ballads of Coltrane with those soaring melodic solos of his, this album is for you. Years ago I asked a NYC jazz musician friend what Coltrane album I was missing.  "Lush Life," he said. Point taken. Now I own three copies, just in case. 
How often have you bought a record that made you look forward to every single track?  Me, probably only this one. "Lush Life" is very great, with Donald Byrd on trumpet. 
"Like Someone in Love" is very, very great, with Coltrane's heart on his sleeve.  
I bought this in 1984 at the long-departed (in 2008) and greatly missed Colony record store near Times Square.  You can see their price sticker on the shrink wrap in the photos
Also for your nostalgic viewing pleasure (but not for sale with this LP) you can see a photo of the Colony record bag like the one that I brought Lush Life home in.
