Description
In 1963 I was working as a despatch clerk for a wholesale record company in Bham.
At that time 7" vynyl had just taken over from conventional 78s and the managment gave all existing stocks of 78s to the staff. In the scramble to get the best stock I managed to obtain 13 columbia white jazz label records. These have been in a record cabinet away from heat and light sources for over 40 years ,some of them have been played once ,many not at all and I have now decided to clear out some unwanted stuff so grab yourself an unrepeatable bit of history ( 1 Removed now 12 )
Record 1 - "Dukes in Bed" and "Confab with Rab" Issue number LB10094 Johnny Hodges and The Ellington all Stars.
Record 2 - "Shine on Harvest Moon" and La Rosita" Issue Number LB 10105 Coleman Hawkins,Ben Webster.
Recoed 3 - "Back Home again in Indiana" and "Comin' Thro' the Rye" Issue Number LB10104 Stuff Smith.
Record 4 - "Its a Long Way to Tipperary" and "Hindustan" Issue Number LB10099. George Lewis and his Band.
Record 5 -" Duff Campbell's Revenge" and "Just a Cousin of Mine" Issue Number LB10091 Turk Murphy.
