Description
Misfits "Earth A.D. / Wolfsblood" LP, original US repressing on Plan 9 Records, 1986. This is a repress from 1986, vinyl is thin and translucent, but not smokey.

Note: The "S" in "SM3" for the stamper identifiers is scratched out.These copies have light purple bricks on high-quality jackets with no Caroline logo.
Jacket also has gloss and white inner walls (unlike the greyish inner walls of later pressings).
However, the vinyl is thin and translucent with M2/M3 etched into the stampers, identifying it as a Caroline press.
Therefore, it is logical to assume that this is a Caroline press using leftover Plan 9 jackets.
MisfitsCentral.com describes this as a first pressing, but that conclusion is highly illogical, given that this type of thin, translucent vinyl with M2 or M3 in the deadwax appeared in pressings after Caroline took over Plan 9 in the latter 80s.
Plan 9 pressing guide:
Thick, slightly translucent vinyl:
1. Large ring pressed in label around center hole.
2. Small spindle ring, S and number in deadwax.
Thin, very translucent vinyl - here Caroline makes presses.
3. A side matrix has S(crossed out)M3 S(crossed out). Some people see it as an SH with the H over the S, believing that this is the signature of masterer Scott Hull from Masterdisc. These copies have M2 or M3 on the b-side and come in glossy Plan9 jackets with light purple, or medium purple bricks.
4. Small spindle ring, M2 or M3 in matrix (no S).
Latter Caroline presses on heavy opaque vinyl.
5. S+string of numbers in deadwax.
