Description
Excellent 1963 compilation of classic country blues from the years 1920-1947. Includes tracks by Bukka White, Mississippi John Hurt, Son House, Skip James, William Harris, Kid Bailey, Reverend Robert Wilkins, and Willie Brown. Record is in VG condition, with visible scratches on the disc and surface noise throughout, although some of the noise may also be from the primitive recording equipment used in the 20s-40s. Someone has scratched out the "1" on the record label and written the number "5". Sleeve is in G+ condition. It is not falling apart, but there is significant wear on the front and back covers and along the edges. The top seam has split and was repaired with black plumber's tape. A previous owner's name is whited out on the back cover. The insert is missing, but a previous owner has taped a track listing to the back cover. See photos for details.
