Very rare pair of single-sided metal/lacquer acetates (blank, smooth lacquer on the b-side's). Only a handful made.

An acetate disc is a type of phonograph (gramophone) record.
Unlike ordinary vinyl records, which are quickly formed from lumps of plastic by a mass-production molding process, a so-called acetate disc is created by using a recording lathe to cut an audio-signal-modulated groove into the surface of a special lacquer-coated blank disc, a real-time operation requiring expensive, delicate equipment and expert skill for good results. They are made for special purposes, almost never for sale to the general public. They can be played on any normal record player but will suffer from wear more quickly than vinyl. Some acetates are highly prized for their rarity, especially when they contain unpublished material.
In the vinyl record manufacturing process, an acetate master disc is cut and electroforming is used to make negative metal molds from it; each mold, known as a stamper, can be used to press thousands of vinyl copies of the master. Within the vinyl record industry, acetates are also used for evaluating the quality of the tape-to-disc transfer. They were once a favored medium for comparing different takes or mixes of a recording, and if pressed vinyl copies of an impending new release were not yet available, acetates were used for getting preview copies into the hands of important radio disc jockeys.
Grading Information
All grading adheres to 'Record Collector' specifications with further explanation here. All vinyl is examined closely under a strong light
MINT Condition: As good as a copy you would buy new from a shop, immaculate and never played.
MINT- Condition: Maybe a couple of very, very light paper sleeve scuffs that can only be seen under strong light. This disc has been played a couple of times at most. Cover is virtually perfect - hardly any signs of wear.
EX Condition: A very clean and tidy copy that shows very few defects. Maybe one or two light needle scuffs on the vinyl or light sleeve removal marks that can only be seen under a good light. Cover will have very minimal creasing, ringwear or edgewear.
EX- Condition: You can tell this record has been played a few times but it has been well cared for. There will be minor surface marks only on the vinyl. Cover may have slight creasing or slight ringwear.
VG Condition: A well played copy. There will be a few marks and minor scratches on the vinyl, but nothing too bad. Light needle scuffs and sleeve removal marks. Cover will show signs of storage with some creasing, light folding and ringwear.
