Description

An interesting and overlooked third album from this Bay Area psychedelic band. Moby Grape delivers a varied LP here. 'Can't be so bad' is heavy rocking blues that could be an Blodwyn Pig outtake and 'He' could easily fit on Love's 'Forever Changes' album. 'Rose coloured eyes' and 'Miller's blues' were undoubtedly concert highlights back in the day. Led Zeppelin fans need to take notice of 'Never', while 'Just like Gene Autry' can only be heard coherently at 78rpm and is pointless and out of place. An original 1968 UK pressing in strong VG++. A bit different from the standard US edition, this made in England pressing uses the back for the front cover. Even more confusing, the above photos show the back cover first as an attempt to display the fantastic cover art. The glossy sleeve has some lamination lift and some invisible top at the top seam. No tears, rips, or split seams. Cleaned and play tested, sounds great! Vinyl appears a very strong VG++ but sounds closer to EX. Check all the photos closely. Obviously a band not on most collectors radars, Moby Grape 'Wow' is for sure a mind expanding listen.
