Description

This is the original deep groove RVG-stamped pressing of “Modern Jazz Survey” on Prestige PRES16-5.  The playing surface is in near-new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once.  The laminated West 50th St. cover is virtually in new condition – bright, clean and immaculate throughout – with sharp corners and unworn seams.  Glassine inner sleeve is included.  Personnel include Donald Byrd, Phil Woods, Ray Copeland, and Red Garland.  Prestige issued only six titles at the 16 2/3 RPM speed, all of which are now quite rare. $100.00.
