Description
This is a LP copy of the Modest Mouse release Lonesome Crowded West. I'm not a condition specialist, but would say that these records are in good condition. There are surfaces scratches on both records, and a bent upper right hand corner on both covers. Ask questions before bidding if you have concerns about the condition of these records because I do not accept returns. They are not mint condition so please do not expect them to be in mint condition. Please allow 3 days for handling and 2-3 days for shipping. It probably won't take me a week to get it out, but I like to have it if I need it. Shipping is $7.00 and to the U.S. only. Ohio winners will be required to add 7% sales tax to the final selling price. The winner is required to pay for the item via PayPal within 48 hours after the close of the auction.
The shipping on this item is $4.00 Media Mail and not $7.00 as written in the description. I've had one person ask me if the record skips. I haven't listened to the record for years and currently do not have a working turntable. I haven't listened to the record side by side since I bought it. I will try to play the record prior to the end of the auction to see if it skips. Visually there are two concerns for skipping. Side D has a small surface gauge between a couple songs, and Side B has a couple scratches that could potentially cause a skip. Again, it is my goal to play both records and report back prior to the close of the auction.
I had a close friend play both records through on a good turntable and was told that there are no skips on these records. The small surface gauge on Side D seems to be something on the record? He remarked that it appeared to chip into a white dust when more weight was applied to the arm. That particular mark on the record does cause a 5 second pop in a quieter part of a song. There are other pops in the record while playing do to surface scratches. He also remarked that with a good cleaning that the records would be considered VG+ in condition, but as is would be considered G to VG depending on an individuals opinion. I hope this helps clarify any concerns about the conditions of these records. The auction closes in a couple days. I welcome any questions regarding this double LP prior to the close of the auction.
