Description
Extremely scarce Chicago private‑press Latin/Afro‑Cuban 45 from 1976, issued on the tiny Ebirac label (0021).
This release features invited guest **Mongo Santamaria**, one of the most influential Afro‑Cuban percussionists
of the 20th century. Mongo’s guest appearances on small regional labels are exceptionally limited, and this
Chicago session is virtually undocumented.
Also featured are Chicago Latin scene musicians Mike Di Martino (trumpet) and William Garcia (flute), backed
by Orquesta Juventud Típica 76/78 and produced by Carlos C. Ruiz. These musicians were central to Chicago’s
1970s Latin jazz and salsa movement, yet their private‑press recordings were made in very small quantities —
typically **300–500 copies at most**.

This is not a commercial Mongo release. It is a **local Chicago artifact**, pressed in extremely small numbers
