Description

DOORS – Strange Days

(US Original Press on ELEKTRA Records, # EKL 4014 . from 1967)

 

Label/Sleeve -> Tan/Gold Label with large White ‘E’ Logo. Contains a Printed glossy inner sleeve with a group photo on one side and lyrics on the other side.. The cover is a MONO cover printed on thick cardboard (both front and back of the cover has the MONO printed against EKL 4014. Spine has the stereo matrix #s.

Grade (Cover/Vinyl)  -> VG(-)/ VG++

 

Description  -> Vinyl surface looks clean and shiny and when held at an angle under light, the surface shows very light hairlines and paper sleeve marks.. Vinyl plays with superb fidelity with lightest of occasional background sound and overall a very enjoyable copy.. Has the full body sound of a MONO pressing. The spindle are is very clean and barely any spindle mark visible. As you can see from my vinyl grade this is a very decent copy. Pristine copies are very hard to locate and this is not immaculate but should satisfy most collectors.

Cover has some medium rub and handling wear. NO Writing, All Seams Intact. the lettering on the spine is partially rubbed off (See picture).  Upper left corner has a corner ding and spots lower left front and center/bottom front  where top paper surface has rubbed off. Back right bottom corner has some white spotting (see picture)

 

A Cult Classic and essential album in any collection. This is the rare original Mono recording
